Phishing Alert

April 23, 2010 – First Community Bank has received several calls from customers informing us that they received a call from someone trying to obtain their debit card information.  The phone numbers that the calls originated from originate in the 303 and 304 area codes, and are in no way related to First Community Bank.  If you receive a call that may be part of this scam, please do not give out any debit card numbers, expiration dates, account information, or any other personal identifying information.  For more information on how to protect your identity, visit our Protect Your Identity page.

FDIC Consumer Education

January 26, 2006 – A new FDIC on-line tool was released to help educate consumers how to better protect their computers and themselves from identity theft, and steps to take if they have been victimized. The presentation: Don’t Be an On-Line Victim: How to Guard Against Internet Thieves and Electronic Scams is on the FDIC’s website.

Fraud Alert

February 10, 2010 - There are fraudulent Cashier’s Checks being circulated that appear to be issued by First Community Bank.  The checks are being mailed and use the FCB logo and address information from local offices.  If you have any question about an FCB Cashier’s Check, please call your local office or click on the Contact Us tab above.
