| Loan Officer | ||
| ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Solicit and develop new business on an ongoing basis by calling on current and prospective customers, while understanding both the customer’s needs and the Bank’s capacity to meet those needs. Interview loan applicants; evaluate credit data, cash flow, financial statements, and collateral to determine their credit worthiness. Ensure accuracy, thoroughness and consistency in all work output. Review loan renewal requests to ensure continued credit worthiness of the applicant and timely payment of the loan. Submit loan request memorandums to the appropriate loan committee for approval. Communicate reason for denial to applicants when their loan request has been denied as necessary. Price loan and deposit products with the dual goals of enhancing Bank profitability and retaining or generating customer business. Service the loan from loan closing to the date of loan payoff. Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the life of the loans, resolving problems as they arise. Assist management in the development, installation and implementation of new products and services for customers. Review the Insufficient Funds (NSF) report on a daily basis. Monitor the past due list to ensure that loans are paid on a timely basis. Contact and counsel customers with delinquent accounts as necessary by phone or letter to arrange loan payment. Work with charged-off loans as time allows, attempting to work out a suitable payment schedule for the customer. Inspect and evaluate collateral pledged to existing and prospective loans. Continue involvement in outside activities to promote the Bank’s relationship with the community. Have a clear understanding and comply with all bank procedures, laws and federal regulations. Plans and organizes activities/resources to maximize productivity, formulates goals and action plans; makes timely decisions, and meets deadlines. Support the bank’s financial goals for growth and profit by managing department expenses, increasing fee income and preventing losses. Demonstrates commitment to operating within planned budget guidelines and meets income/expense profit plans. Manages relationship profitability including cross sales, balance sheet growth, customer service and product knowledge. | The position is responsible for the following responsibilities: Know and explain all retail lending products and rates. Document daily collections activity and manage workflow of collection efforts. Perform account research, review payment history and maintain departmental files. Contact customers regarding delinquent accounts using strong analytical and negotiation skills to negotiate default solutions with borrower. Ability to make decisions based on technical knowledge and available guidelines and procedures. Analyze and assess creditworthiness of account/client. Review delegated loan workout submissions. Initiate early delinquency intervention and indentify accounts requiring external collection efforts. Prepare and present the more complex loan workout proposals for management review and proposal. Prepare and send out appropriate letters in effort to collect payment or negotiate repayment terms. Assist Managed Asset Officers in research and collection of repossessions, charge-offs and foreclosures. Respond in a timely and effective manner to all clients inquires either through telephone, voicemail, e-mail or written correspondence. Resolve customer concerns effectively. Have a clear understanding and comply with all bank procedures, laws and federal regulations. Maintain confidentiality when handling customer information, requests and transactions. Be able to explain regulations to customers without using banking terminology. Candidate must have previous experience using FiServ and utilizing the collection system.
